Advice from Kimtasha’s experience

It starts with technique.
It helps to have a plan.

Florida wedding makeup needs to be considered beyond the moment it is applied. Your day may include outdoor photographs, warm weather, tears during the ceremony, and a reception that continues into the evening.

In Kimtasha’s experience, wear is about application technique as well as products. Simply putting on more makeup is not the answer to every concern. The finish needs to suit your skin, the occasion, and the time you will spend wearing it.

A useful conversation before the wedding connects the makeup look to the actual schedule. Here are the details that help shape that plan.

Before the wedding

A few decisions
make the day easier.

Start with the schedule, then discuss the look and the level of coverage you want.

Share the outdoor parts of your day

Let Kimtasha know whether your ceremony, portraits, or reception will be outdoors. An indoor application followed by beach photographs creates a different planning conversation from a day spent mostly inside.

You do not need to predict the weather precisely. The useful information is when and where you expect to be outside, and how that fits with photographs and any booked touch-ups.

Plan for the first photograph

Your ceremony time may be much later than the moment you need finished makeup. Confirm when your photographer wants you ready and leave room for dressing and travel.

Include everyone requesting an application, such as mothers and grandmothers, and share any separate ready-by times. Larger parties may need additional artists, arranged according to availability.

Use the trial to talk about comfort

A trial is a separate appointment where you can explore the look on your own face. Share your usual makeup routine, inspiration, and any concerns about coverage or lashes.

Discuss what feels familiar and what you would like to change. The goal is a wedding look you feel good wearing, rather than an exact copy of someone else’s photograph.

Decide how you want to handle touch-ups

Kimtasha offers wedding touch-up coverage at $150 per hour with a two-hour minimum. Discuss the time you want covered, such as after portraits or before moving into the reception.

Coverage is arranged in advance and subject to availability. A take-home touch-up bag is useful, but it is a different service from having the artist stay.

Keep your finishing essentials nearby

Wedding makeup includes a lip color sample, lip brush, and blotting sheets. Ask Kimtasha how to use those items for your particular finish before the application is complete.

If you have a planner or someone helping you during the day, decide who will keep the bag accessible so it is available when you need it.

Make room for more than one look

Rehearsal dinners, engagement photographs, and multi-event weddings can call for their own makeup appointments. Include all of those plans when discussing the booking.

A new look requires more time than a quick touch-up. For Indian bridal celebrations or outfit changes across several events, share the full schedule and desired finish for each.

Before you book

A few things to know.

Will my makeup need no touch-ups at all?

Wear varies with skin, weather, activity, and the length of the day. Discuss the makeup plan and whether booked touch-up coverage would be useful for your schedule.

Should I choose heavier makeup for an outdoor wedding?

Not automatically. Kimtasha’s approach considers technique, product choices, and your preferred finish rather than simply adding more makeup.

What should I send for a bridal quote?

Your date, venue, preparation address, total headcount including the bride, camera-ready time, and any trial or touch-up coverage you would like to discuss.
